Richmond Park - Pen Ponds - #4

This post answers a special request from Tel Aviv Daily Photo. The Park is 8 miles in circumference. It is full of red deer and fallow deer, having been a royal hunting park for hundreds of years. The park is up on a plateau and offers stunning 360 degree 50km distant views of London and the surrounding lands. There will be more, later. It's a wonderful place right on the edge of London.

Grey day:hot shoes - #3

It's a grey day today, so let's liven it up with a fabulous display in the window of the shoe department of Dickens & Jones store in Richmond upon Thames. Jing and Isabella will love these!

Three figures in an alien world

Three figures in an alien world - #2
Last week the cold snap transformed the Petersham Copse into a new and hostile scene, dark and unwelcoming, with a fierce North wind blowing through. But now the snow has gone and in eight weeks the copse will be thick with new green growth, and loud with birdsong. Go through early and you will catch Mr. Badger finishing his night rounds, and see Mr. Fox on the prowl.

There's a New Land far away

A New Land far away-#1
First posting on a new enterprise! Blogging. Where will it go? Rome? Paris? Shanghai? Dubai? Where and why?
On a cold winter's day walking across Petersham Meadows alongside the Thames at Richmond you certainly think of warmer and more glamourous climes. What...such gloom with magnificent London only 13 miles away?!
