Interesting picture. That goose is displaying a threatening posture, and if her head from just behind the head, dips down, so the whole neck and head looks like a profile of a spoon, with a head, look out. I don't see any baby geese so she might just take the treat being offered. It is a nice shot but could be a nasty experience for the toddler.
I love so much this shot. It look like old and even if it isn't I like to think it is and yes, you're in right: along a river there's always something nice to see (and to learn)
Yes, thanks, I had a nice weekend. Quite busy and no time to watch any ducks, geese, swans... neither along the Seine, nor in "my" park where I can see them almost every day.
Yes, thanks , great long weekend here, bizarrely for QE2's birthday! Makes no sense. Love the sepia tones used in your picture...gives a lovely nostalgic atmosphere.
Quite possibly your best yet.
ReplyDeleteLove it.
Cheers,
Bluey!

Threatening or not, I still think it's a good experience for the toddler! Getting close to wild life is a grand human experience and a real privilege.
ReplyDeleteI hope the weather in Richmond this weekend is as good as it is here in Poland! Lovely pic by the way!
ReplyDeleteLove this photograph. It says everything about childhood and simple pleasures.
ReplyDeleteCanada Geese normally aren't the friendliest of creatures...and they sound quite menacing when hissing! Hope dad didn't lose his hand!
