Richmond upon Thames: the view from London's "Arcadia" along the River Thames in Southwest London.
Marvel at the exquisitely made control system for the mighty steam engine: the perfection of form and function.
Kew Bridge Steam Museum,
Incredible this series of photos, and the engine as such of course! I imagine that there was quite a staff to take care. Do you have any idea of the size and the power compared to the engines of the cross-atlantic steamers?
I've enjoyed this series a lot. The 'industrial art' appeals to me -- those iron columns, for example: wow!I also likes the giant trees.A belated happy anniversary greeting on the blog!
I don't pretend to remotely understand it but it's obviously a work of art. Love the colours, patina, beautiful. Nice photo too!
