Richmond upon Thames: the view from London's "Arcadia" along the River Thames in Southwest London.
Just look at all that kit!
Kingston upon Thames,
Richmond upon Thames,
Investment banker had to move out then?
Beautiful spot to fish, but these folks take fishing much too seriously!
It'll be awhile before we are fishing here! Nice shot..
Help me out here. Is he sleeping under that umbrella? Looks like a lot of stuff for a day of fishing. Whatever, it's a great shot. V
That looks like a lot to lug around just to sleep half of the time! I'm intrigued by that low boat — what is it?
@Hilda.....Hallo, Hilda! It's a typical English "narrow boat" built in the 19th century to carry cargo on our canals. All the industrial canals of the 19th century were quite narrow. You will see lots used as homes and pleasure boats today.
Isn't it nice that people can get away from it all on the banks of a river, hide under an umbrella and hope the investment banker doesn't show up to give the bad news.
Ah, fishing. At the first sight I thought someone is living there. but no, it's still too cold to sit at the river for too long.
That's fishers for you, I have met and photographed quite a few over the last year, and the stories they tell...
Saw the same guy with the brolly on the bank yesterday - he lander a pound and a half roach.
