From the Dogger Bank to Trafalgar via Tyne, and right across the Med - # 09/161
Hugely bad weather sweeps across the whole of Europe and the British Isles - torrential rain and wind.
So here's a rather dramatic looking shot of the Les Alpes Maritimes behind Menton taken last Summer.

PS: We can't say we had «hugely» bad weather; just some rain and 17º Celsius temperature... And we are Europe, as you could see on TV with the ceremony for the entering into force of the Lisbon Treaty... ;))
This is just a wonderful, wonderful photograph. WOW~!! And I love your choice of monochrome. Just perfect in my humble opinion. Sorry about your weather. It's none better here. I managed to take my long walk this afternoon but I waded across mud puddles and wore a baseball hat to keep the wind from whipping this gray hair out of my head! :)
