Richmond upon Thames: the view from London's "Arcadia" along the River Thames in Southwest London.
I'm glad this tree is still standing. It has a lot of character.
Just LOVe this photograph. It truly is like a painting. The old tree seems to stand out from the background, sharp as a tack, with the whole photo having such a soft romantic quality. And poignant too with that old tree probably on its last legs. You've outdone yourself with this one, Chuckeroon. Did you do any clever Lightroom stuff on it?
How old do you reckon it is?
@FF....around 300 - 600 yrs, probably nearer 3oo for this one.
Superbe ! Magique ! Quand je pense qu'il a sans doute rencontré Van Gogh !
