The cafes of Richmond 5 - # 39

'roony trots down an alley off the main street and emerges onto Richmond Green. "The Green Cafe" is tiny. It serves good snacks, fresh pressed juices and good hot drinks. The cafe front is shady in the hot weather (so a bit bleak in winter), but you can look out across the Green which is bathed in sun all day long. At week ends you can watch the local cricket match. Next door is the magnificent doorway featured in Post # 38

  1. Nice reflection in the windows!
But I thought you retired all those phone booths, or am I confusing them with the double-decker buses? Or was it only in London?

  6. You have an eye for composition and a great story-telling way about your comments. I like you post today and the other posts as well. I am especially lustful about the way those bricks show up and it makes me wonder if you used a tripod? Or, do you have one of those shake-proof cameras with the built-in stabilization features? Either way, the bricks show up like tapestry.

  7. I love the look of those red phone booths, but then I'm pretty partial to a dark deep red. They have on at Ruta Maya. Will try to post a pic soon.

  8. OMG, I thought the red phone booth was inside the cafe until I read someone's comment about the reflection. Upon closer look, it is such a surreal photo. Totally brilliant.
