Another string of pearls - # 08/244

Yesterday the navigation code lights of the airliner appeared in the long-exposure photo. I called them "a string of pearls" in the night sky.

Here you will recognise the "pearls" of morning mist captured on the spider's web (also featured a few days ago). Isn't the natural world amazing? By the way; the spider has moved on and the web has gone.

  4. You must be so chuffed with this photograph. Just so beautiful. Detail amazing, blurred light in background, perfect. And those pearls just glisten.

  6. Dear oh dear, what a shot. How jealous I am! If diamonds are a girl's best friend I want a necklace of those NOW!

Sorry I missed so many of your latest posts. The tied-up umbrella was indeed a call to enter some peter pan world, I loved it.

The sleeping stag was another source of wonder. How can an animal have lost all sense of self protection that he can sleep when a human approaches? (although maybe you were a fair distance away using a long zoom???)

It would take generations of safe contacts with humans to achieve that I suppose

  7. Web photos while lovely can be passe but this isn't ... not only an interesting perspective but such clarity of detail. Another visual delight.

  10. @richard.....yes, on macro and extremely close and then a crop to go even further. The more I am driven forward by the challenge of the mighty E3 the more I explore the excellence of the C7070.

I now understand your point about "the camera not being between you and the photo". The C7070 is indeed a very good camera that becomes invsible...a pure extension of my hand.

  12. Beautiful. Spiderwebs are impossible with my tiny point-and-shoot digital camera, but that hasn't stopped me trying! ;o) Very nice shot.
