Richmond upon Thames: the view from London's "Arcadia" along the River Thames in Southwest London.
Misdummer night at 21.05 hrs was strangely quiet in the Terrace Gardens on Richmond Hill. The empty seats and the shadows of the trees created a substantial stillness of their own.

Beautiful scene! Setting sun can provide such a magnificent colour!
ReplyDeleteI envy you a little about weather: I don't know what's happened to Moscow but summer left the city a week ago, and these 3-4 days temperature didn't rise above +12C.
Wait. Are you saying that this is at 11:05 at night? Wow! I did not realize that the sky was lit so late into the night there. On our longest days of the year it is mostly dark by 8:30 or 9:00. That is cool. I love the silhouettes of the trees. Especially of that bent evergreen.
ReplyDeleteS,
ReplyDeleteYour text always enhances your lovely photographs so very well. What a peaceful, beautiful sunset.
Merci,

LOL, Chuck, about you saying that the area around London does not qualify as The Land of the Midnight Sun. But that is something that I find so cool to learn and I love how you phrased that about farther up North where the sun refuses to go down "but just kisses the sea then skids along the horizon and starts to rise again". So poetic!
Among twenty snowy mountains,

Was the eye of the blackbird.
