Fishers Grilled..........so they grill fishermen in Oman? And, they collect sawdust. I love to read the shop signs and speculate on what might be meant. Of course, the true meaning is clear, but the English is nevertheless amusing. The fish market is nearby, so collection of sawdust and preparation of cooked fish are to be expected. In the background you can see a watch tower on the hill top; part of the old fortifications.
Collection of sawdust might be a clear concept to you, old chap, but it's got me baffled. Here in Switzerland of course we have many types of itemised collections. But that's because things such as newspapers and PET bottles are produced and consumed in large quantities. But sawdust? I've been on Google Earth and I can't even see any trees in Muscat. Is it the case that they have lots of old style saloon bars, and sawdust needs to be in regular supply? Somehow I think not....
ReplyDeleteHorses maybe? Awaiting illumination.....
@Richard......alas and woe upon them who have no vision. For if the people have no vision.......
ReplyDeleteWell that illuminates me like a 40w long-life bulb.......
ReplyDeleteI saw. I read. I smiled big. Am as baffled as Richard.
