Clear signs of Spring 4a - # 09/46

The rising angle of the sun begins to bless the northern hemisphere after a rather grim winter. The very clear light and the changing season bring dramatic skies and cloud effects that delight the eye. The large trees are still bare skeletons, the shrubs are greening up.

This is a long winded way of saying: "Bet you didn't expect this for a Spring shot!" The lighting effect was briefly quite dramatic and then passed on, carried away by a brisk breeze. I couldn't resist it. This is my vision of that moment.

  1. It's a very creative vision, and, yes, I didn't expect it to be a harbinger of spring. At first glance it looks quite foreboding!

  2. I like the filigree of the branches, it's almost nicer as with leaves. And the sepia touch fits well to the trees.

  3. Spring can be felt in different ways... this is perhaps not the most common! If this is what you felt...: Perfect!

  7. Just catching up. Really love this even tho I find it slightly opressive - twas a dark and stormy night...and where's the werewolf. I liked cildequimper's word - eerie. lovely photo.

  8. Your vision is superb. Very Wuthering heights down south. It does have a very haunting quality with the light and the density let alone the quirky angle.
