the Mini Moke - # 213
Do you remember the Mini Moke?
I bet Richard of Zurich does! Do look at his Porsche.

Of course I remember! Perhaps more frequently seen on the Mediterranean coastline than in the London area?
ReplyDeleteI do remember - very cool I think was the term used when I first saw them!!!
ReplyDeleteWow. I never saw anything quite like this before. It reminds me of a golf cart that somebody souped-up. I did also go see the Porsche. Nice photography and I appreciate it. I guess, judging from Peter's comment, that this is a real vehicle and not something home made.
ReplyDeleteInteresting vehicle and great shots.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog. As for the grey skys in my blog header - the shot was taken just a large thunderstorm was ending in the area.
I've seen a few in my time. They were famously used in the TV series The Prisoner as taxis. They were painted white, with a striped canvas roof & the penny farthing motif on the bonnet. This one is about a 1987 model & looks more sporty. Not very good in wet weather though!
ReplyDeleteI saw your comments on the Hermès horse on ming's blog. Please note that it has nothing to do with Napoleon. I added some info about this horse on his blog, which you can read if you are interested.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I hired one of these on the island of La Gomera about a decade ago. Probably a death trap on that island's steep, narrow roads, but it was fun!
