Skilled craftsman at work building a new, traditional design, wooden sailing vessel at Richmond Bridge. Go along and see this special boat. It's almost finished.
A very nice photo. Did you ask, or just take the picture? I'm only curious because I'm usually too shy to ask people if I can take their photo, but I would like to work on doing just that! It's interesting to see these traditional skills in the process.
I've been greatly enjoying the photos on both of your blogs and expect to be back often. I like your sense of what makes a photo interesting, and you obviously put a lot into your art. I just have to say, too that I like the bit in your interests list about "repairing the unrepairable." I'm glad someone is into that! In re: the fork museum, there probably is one in London area, too. I haven't been there for a long time. There is a museum of the table of some sort near Tour d'Argent in Paris, but each time (inlcuding once after writing that reply) I've taken a turn that took me another direction. Maybe someday. . . .
Oh I do like this set of photographs, Chuckeroon. They are so good - have such a good feeling and atmosphere about them. Messing about in boots - fabulous.
I have seen this boat during one of my last walk to Richmond from Twickenham. I've never seen them working on it though, probably it's because I walk only in the weekends :)

ReplyDeleteInteresting. Will you have a photo of it under sail?
ReplyDeleteHi Chuckeroon! Boats are always part of a dream... Great job to create them...
