Richmond roofline 4 (Urban idyl) - # 09/84

Cows in the meadow by the river, two live theatres, several cinema screens, and a fast train to London every few minutes. What more could you want?

  1. My grandkids would have to move with me, but other than that, I can't think of a thing.

  2. I like the branches in the foreground. I was not sure initially as it felt like a fly buzzing round my head, but the more I looked at the picture the more I liked the fact that you had to look into it a little more. Looks more country with the branches than without... obviously :)

  4. @Shaun......yes, I had some trouble with that tree branch: just had to make the best of what was possible, short of going home to get a big saw.

  6. Looks idyllic. Almost a painting with those tranquil cows. I suppose a little sun, the Mediterranean and a hilltop village might help....I'm only kidding. It looks gorgeous, Chuckeroon.

  8. I lived in Richmond (Sydney Road, real close to the train station) from '97-'99. These photos certainly bring back memories. Great job.

  9. I'm an American who's lived in Richmond for several years. We're getting ready to move back home, but not before bookmarking your blog! This picture and the comment you added sum up just why we're so sad to leave.
