Richmond upon Thames: the view from London's "Arcadia" along the River Thames in Southwest London.
As you enter Richmond from London via Kew Bridge and the Kew Road the first thing you see is a line of fine restaurants standing like a gateway to the town. In the evening the traffic dies down and a pleasant evening of fine-dining begins.

Not much pollution I guess? It would be hard to eat out of doors here as the pollution in the cites are something to deal with. First requirement is a cast iron stomach.

The restaurant on the far right of the picture, Origin Asia, is one of my favourites. It does an interesting and unusual selection of dishes with lots of vegetarian options. Sadly one of my preferred pre-dinner pubs, Molly Malones, has now become an anonymous gastro-pub, The Hope.
ReplyDeleteSo good to see restaurants with outdoor tables in summer.
