The dog in the jacket - # 45/10
Continuing the series of people, animals and water-borne homes at Kingston we have the dog wearing his regulation British/European/International Standard Compliant life jacket. It is a very hot day. The brollies are to keep the sun off. The villa in the background is the one seen from a distance in yesterday's "train crossing bridge" shot.

Barge paradise - # 42/10
There's no denying it. The converted barges moored alongside what were once the old Kingston industrial wharves for wood, coal, leather and brewers' malt and barley are much loved and well cared for homes. They make a colourful show at any time of year.

Beetle hunt - # 39/10
Another of my moody Ham House offerings - (a bit "same-ish" and in a rut?). The lavae of a carpet beetle (they eat valuable old carpets) have been found unexpectedly in an unusual place. (The hunt constantly goes on in the background). A thorough clean-up must be started immediately. I'm lucky because I get called in to take photos of the event.
I chose this because I liked all the shapes, curves and angles; the soft and the hard; the light and shadow. It makes a mundane clean-up into an event that engages the sentiments.

Ambush on Clarence St. - # 37/10
Clarence St., Kingston on a Saturday. Chuggers (Charity Muggers) and Touts lie in wait. Note the perfect deployment of forces; the way the net is spread. Two punters approach, but we know the encounter will be good natured and most will depart smiling and even with their wallets and bank accounts untouched. The experience will be enjoyed by all. It's street entertainment.
