I agree with Diederich - so British! The image is wonderfully clear with such intense colours. I cannot get over that hand with the magnifying glass though. I wonder what she uses the shepherd's crook for ...
Well, I'm really impressed that her outfit matches the courgettes. Nicely composed photo. What does she expect to see under the glass (besides really, really big courgettes) do you suppose?
Chuckeroon, This photo made me smile, chuckle, and look again. At first I took in the well dressed lady, then that she was elderly and with a cane, then that this was a show of garden splendor, then that she brought her glass to help read the entries, and then your caption brought the house down. Wonderful photo, lovely dry humor, very well done. -Kim Seattle Daily Photo
Oh how utterly fabulous. I know her! I don't mean I know this particular lady but I know English ladies just like this. This has to be one of my favourites of many favourite photos you show, Chuckeroon. And my God, it's in colour - heaven forfend...
Bien vu !
An excellent photo, Chuckeroon!! This looks so...British. Well done!

ReplyDeleteYou so captured the exact moment. Love it.
I actually suspect that she's trying to fry the competition.
