Richmond upon Thames: the view from London's "Arcadia" along the River Thames in Southwest London.
In Isleworth, beside the Thames, is the London Apprentice inn. It's old. It sits beside the even older church and the ancient ferry crossing over to Richmond. It serves nice apple pie.

i can taste it!
ReplyDeleteThat looks yummy! Your apple pies look much different than American Apple Pie. What is the topping?
ReplyDeleteCustard!
ReplyDeleteNow, that's something you don't see much of anymore.
What a shame!
MMmmmmm - hot custard.
Wow, that looks good. I've never had apple pie with custard, but it looks mighty tasty.
ReplyDeleteCustard! Haven't had that for years. Now that looks GOOD.
ReplyDeleteThe custard sause on top makes it look very British! I know, it can be good anyhow! :-))
ReplyDeleteSharing Peter's views, I'm sorry to say I have strong reservations about that lemon-coloured custard. Looks very "chemical" to me.
ReplyDeleteNothing like our beautiful "crème anglaise" (nothing but eggs, suger, milk and vanilla extract)
@Nathalie...........Oh dear: never again will I tweak the colour balance for "enhanced" green and yellow!!!!
