Richmond upon Thames: the view from London's "Arcadia" along the River Thames in Southwest London.
......."skiing" up and down and down the slopes on roller skis. Just another way of using the Park. Notice in the fuzzy background, the deer who seem to be totally unimpressed.

This I have seen over here. I think the deer have the correct attitude.
ReplyDeleteI guess the deer are too used to these bikers and walkers and don't care... as long as they are not carrying a rifle
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place! Its quite a gift to be so close to nature!
ReplyDeleteI like this photo. I have thought about riding a bike and what is going on. I am sitting on a seat, and it could be a chair, and using my legs to go round and round to pull the load I am through the air and along the way. It is a kind of substitute for walking I think. Then there is this skating technique. Instead of being on your buns and riding you are on your feet and not really walking but almost sliding as on ice. The wheels in lieu of a blade. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteI am doing something different on my Gordon, Ohio blog. I set out to photograph and describe every house in the village where I was born.

My god, what a cast of characters! Each in his own world. And yes, the indifference of the deer is marvelous.
