The old canal passes under the road beside the building with the blue glass. Go down the steps and walk along the canal into the old docks and muse over the contrast.

J'aime bien cette vue, car j'aime bien lire une ville avec l'avenue qui sinue entre les immeubles, les voitures prises en train de rouler, donc parfaitement espacées. Les espaces piétonniers : trottoir, arbres, au loin la passerelle au dessus des 6 voies.

ReplyDeleteErrrr....gives me the creeps...all that traffic and all that grey!
Recently on the tele I've noticed a lot of English interiors are painted orange - I thought this was a strange colour choice for English people - now I get it, it's all that grey that drives them to it!
I'd head straight for the canal. Agree with FF that this looks so "person unfriendly".
