@Gailsman.....the Olympus C7070 WZ is anything but "small", but it is well engineered for this sort of shot. The flash is "off". Glad you liked the picture.
.. and of course the diagonal triumvirate. As Jilly says the atmosphere is also great - the whole scene summed up, captured and bottled. This is what I like about photography - the ability to recall visual memories, or conjure them up for others
So much atmosphere to this photo. Love it.
ReplyDeleteAnother great shot. You must use a small camera to take such photos, otherwise people would notice. And what about the flash?

ReplyDeleteMajor phoneline problems here - can't see any of your photos so am just here to say hi.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your nice comments on my blog!!!!
I like the way the lighting silhouettes, and backlights everything (man at right, beer pumps etc) while the womans face is otherwise perfectly lit

ReplyDeleteVery film noir! I am almost expecting Humphrey Bogart to walk in with a cigarette dangling from his lips and order scotch on the rocks.
ReplyDeleteI haven't done much B&W photography. Maybe I should!
Wow! What a fantastically atmospheric shot. You simply want to know who these people are! We will never know!
ReplyDeleteI like black and white photos. A wonderful, mysterious, impressive atmosphere. You have realy nice photo-graphics on your site! Congratulations!
